As we start the new year, it is very important we don’t carry any baggage from 2021 to 2022! It’s time to reset and have a fresh start.

Is there someone in your life you haven’t been able to forgive?

If so, now is the time to ask the Lord to show you how to truly let go and release the person (or persons) into His loving care.

We only hold ourselves hostage when we refuse to forgive. It isn’t that we forget the hurt we experienced, but when we forgive, we remember the offense in a “healing way!” It then allows us to love more freely and embrace the present with a new perspective.

I love how Nathan the prophet lovingly confronted King David about his sin with Bathsheba. Thankfully, David fully repented and poured his heart into the writing of Psalm 51. He was totally forgiven, and in the New Testament, he was referred to as “the man after God’s own heart.”

I leave you with this exhortation from Scripture: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”  (Ephesians 4:32) NIV
